Flavored coffee is readily available in hundreds of varieties. Two varieties, Amaretto coffee and French vanilla are popular mid afternoon or after dinner coffees. The popularity of flavored coffee has fluctuated over the years but recently there has been a surge in it's popularity. Most coffee houses, bakeries, donut shops and even convenience stores offer at least a few flavored coffees on a daily basis. The coffee can be flavored in a variety of ways. Flavored coffee grinds, flavored creamers, flavored syrup, powders and liquor are all commonly used to produce flavored coffee. Many of the same coffee flavors available in the finest coffee shops can easily be brewed at home. If you decide to use your regular grind and add flavor after brewing you will probably want to increase the strength of your brew. If you are creating your own recipe begin with one and a half times the normal amount of coffee grinds.
Flavored coffee is perfect as an afternoon beverage or as an after dinner coffee. When entertaining it is a nice to offer a flavored coffee as an alternative to your regular brew. Café mocha, Vienesse coffee and hazelnut coffee are just some of the coffees you can brew from either by using flavored grinds or by adding 1 or 2 simple ingredients to your regular brew.
